Dumortierite - (pronounced do-more-te-rite) Semi-precious stone also called "blue denim stone" from Brazil. Looks great with jeans or a suit.
Goldstone - man-made (glass) beads with flecks of copper shimmering in dark brown background. Reflects light for a little something extra in jewelry designs.
Magnesite - is a magnesium carbonate usually white with brown or black veins. A less expensive alternative to genuine turquoise. Magnesite can be dyed blue or green to resemble turquoise for the same look at a more economical price. Also can be dyed more vibrant colors.
MOP - Mother of Pearl, natural inner lining of mollusk where pearl grows inside of shell. Lovely, feminine jewelry is made using MOP.
Green Aventurine - mainly quartz & quartzite materials Aventurine is a lottery player's lucky stone! It is said to increase luck, money and insight. When picking your lucky numbers have a green aventurine stone in your left pocket.
Red Aventurine - named for aventura a type of Italian glass found in 1700's. Aventurine is said to bring luck (especially green aventurine), prosperity and adventure to all who wear it.
